A sorority will be with you forever, so don’t make your decision too quickly. Find out as much as you can about your organization of choice, and think about whether it is a commitment you are willing to make or not.
The Rush events are designed to allow you time to get to know the members and for them to get to know you. Rush can be a lot of fun, as with most things, you will get out of it what you put into it. At the events you should ask many questions, since Rush is a very informational time. You will want to ask about the things you don’t understand, and the things that you are interested in about sorority life. If you have other questions that have not been answered, you can ask them at our Rush events, or by contacting us through email. Many of your questions will hopefully be able to be answered on this website, but please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you have!
WHY GO LOCAL?
Kappa Chi Alpha is a local organization, which means we were founded and only on Westconn's campus! Some may think local organizations are vastly different from National Organization, but they aren't so different! So before you set your heart on going National, here are some great aspects of local organizations!
- We are Self Governing
- We decide the amount for dues per semester
- We decide what event we want to hold and attend
- We are unique to Western Connecticut State University
- We are the oldest sorority on campus
- Despite only being found on this campus, we have sisters all over the world!
